Please read these Terms carefully. By accessing our website (The Site) or booking any services, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms in full.


1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of all vehicle glass repair, replacement, and related services (“Services”) by DoctorWindscreen (a trading name, hereinafter “The Company,” “we,” or “us”) in Nottingham, UK, to the customer (“You”). Your engagement with our Services constitutes your unqualified acceptance of these Terms.


2. Service Estimates and Changes

2.1 Quotations:
Any quotation provided is an estimate only, based on the information available at the time. We reserve the right to revise the final price if the actual condition of the vehicle requires additional labour or parts not foreseen during the initial assessment (e.g., discovery of hidden frame corrosion).

2.2 Cancellation:
If you cancel a confirmed booking with less than 24 hours’ notice, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee equivalent to our costs for ordering specific glass or parts.


3. Risk, Pre-existing Conditions, and Waivers

3.1 Pre-existing Damage:
You acknowledge that the Company shall assume no liability for any pre-existing corrosion, deterioration, or damage to your vehicle, including surrounding bodywork, frames, seals, or mouldings, that may be revealed, damaged, or exacerbated during the fitting process. If such conditions prevent a satisfactory seal, we reserve the right to stop work or proceed only with your written acknowledgment that our Guarantee (Section 5) is voided.

3.2 Risk of Repair:
You acknowledge and accept that, in the course of attempting a windscreen repair (e.g., stone chip), there is an inherent and unpreventable risk that the crack may spread further, through no fault of our technicians or equipment. The Company shall not be responsible for the cost of a full replacement windscreen should a repair attempt fail for this reason. If a replacement is subsequently required, the full cost of replacement will apply.

3.3 Customer-Supplied Parts:
If you supply your own glass or parts, the Services are carried out entirely at your risk. The Company provides no warranty or guarantee whatsoever on the part itself and is not liable for any failure or breakage of such parts during fitting or thereafter.


4. Limitation of Liability (Maximum Legal Protection)

4.1 Exclusion of Consequential Loss:
To the fullest extent permitted by English law, the Company expressly excludes all liability for any indirect, special, incidental, punitive, or consequential loss or damage, including, but not limited to:

  • Loss of Profit;
  • Loss of Revenue;
  • Loss of Business Opportunity;
  • Loss of Use of the Vehicle or downtime.

4.2 Maximum Liability Cap:
In the event the Company is found liable for any direct physical damage to your vehicle caused solely by our proven negligence or breach of contract, our total aggregate liability shall be strictly limited to the cost of rectifying that specific physical damage, or, at our sole discretion, re-performing the Services, and shall never exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific Services rendered.

4.3 Statutory Rights:
Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under UK law (including the Consumer Rights Act 2015).


5. Guarantee and Warranty

5.1 Specific Sealing Guarantee:
After completing your car windscreen replacement, we provide a 3-month guarantee on the windscreen sealing only. Any sealing issues that arise within this period will be covered. After 3 months, we are not responsible for any sealing-related problems.

5.2 Guarantee Voidance:
The guarantee outlined in Section 5.1 will be immediately void and unenforceable if: (a) The vehicle sustains any subsequent accidental damage or is involved in an accident. (b) The work is tampered with, removed, or adjusted by any third party without our prior written consent. (c) The vehicle shows signs of pre-existing corrosion or deterioration which was noted by our technician at the time of service.


6. Payment and Retention of Title

6.1 Payment:
All invoices are payable immediately upon completion of the Services. We reserve the right to retain possession of the vehicle until all outstanding sums are paid in full.

6.2 Retention of Title:
Legal and beneficial ownership of all goods (glass and parts) supplied by the Company shall remain with the Company until we have received payment in full and cleared funds for the Services. If payment is defaulted, we reserve an irrevocable right to enter the premises or location of the vehicle to remove the goods, and you agree to fully indemnify us against all related costs.


7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute or claim arising from these Terms.
